POOFDIRT is a recent transfer from our local shelter. She came in happy but very dehydrated. While this is a native species in our area, this one was extremely friendly and social which is not like them at all. She loves head scratches and would love to be your new best friend
Adoption Fee: $75
Sandy is available for adoption to a home that can continue her hospice care. Sandy has a liver disease which effects her daily. She is very difficult to feed and will go through spells of not wanting to eat. She will require a home with a medical background or to a home that has experienced this before and knows how to handle her condition. She is not one of those bearded you can give some greens to and walk away. She also is on borrowed time as we know she is older but are unsure of how long she has left from the disease. She has outlived all of the veterinarians predictions and continues to amaze them at her significant recoveries! Sandy has been with us for over 1 year!
Adoption Fee: $50
LaTiao means spicy shreaded tofu. Somehow, its the perfect description for this guy. Personally, he's my favorite. He's got such a character to him and is always doing stuff. I feel like he has the voice of actor James Hong and walks around with such an insane amount of confidence. He's ready for your adventures!
Adoption Fee: $50
Friday is a gopher snake with the typical personality of a gopher snake, they love to pretend they are rattle snakes and will thump their tail on the floor to immitate how scary they are. Friday has a great eating response no matter what he is eating, rats, mice, your hand, anything that is near him is food. Good thing he completely harmless and doesn’t even draw blood. Maybe it’s because we call him cute?
Adoption Fee: $50
Squirrel is a very young female iguana with a whole lot of temper. She acclimates very slowly and not well, her new adopter has to give her her space when she is settling in and learning new humans. She has a lot of potential to be much nicer. She also went through laying eggs recently as she was with another iguana when she came in. She is much too small to be egg laying and has lost weight due to this but is rapidly gaining it back.
Adoption Fee: $50
Tortilla was the most shy turtle I have ever met but since bonding her with others she has exploded with personality. She will require a home where there is another turtle for her to live with or with her best friend Donnashello. She is a confirmed female and does lay eggs although they are not fertile eggs.
Adoption Fee: $50
Poe is the definition of an Iguana. Gorgeous to look at, temper through the roof, moody, sweet during winter, spice during breeding season. Her new home will have to take into consideration that she may not be thrilled to move again but will eventually accept love. Her past owner went overseas in the military and we think she’s taking that pretty hard. She eats great however and is very easy to communicate with and understand as she gives clear warnings when she’s not feeling too happy. She has bonded to Leviathan our ambassador and may thrive better in a home that already has an iguana for her to communicate with. Since bonding the two, she has become more willing to be touched by humans without biting!
Adoption Fee: $75
Mozzarella Stick is a gorgeous boa with a terrible personality. He was not handled at all growing up so he really does not understand what humans are. He came in with mites and is currently going through treatment for this as well. He will not be available until his mites are fully gone. Were hoping to get some of his personality in check by then!
Adoption Fee: $75
Lavender. You may have seen lavender at one of our events! She is extremely social once she gets to know you! She currently lives with her mate, Mischief and we would love to see them go together as they are crazy about each other. Lavender is such an amazing lady that she has given us a new appreciation for turtles. She always begs for food like a dog and will actually eat out of the container or your hand if you’re brave enough. She is incredibly social now to almost everyone she meets!
Adoption Fee: $50
Rotisserie Chicken, This long chunky guy was living with two other boas in a very small bin. They all became pretty defensive however chicken decided food is better to bite than hands are. He has never refused a meal and it shows! For a boa he is pretty even tempered and has potential to become a gentle giant with some choice handling.
Adoption Fee: $75
Mischeif. We were told Mischief was a box turtle but I don't think that's true, more than likely a map. She is extremely funny! She does bite sometimes so she is not to be handled by children however watching her get herself into trouble all day long is extremely entertaining. She has certainly earned her name. She is definitely the more bold of the two turtles and likes to give lavender her confidence
Adoption Fee: $50
Have you ever wanted a low maintenance pet that sounds like a snake but doesn't eat other animals? Looking for a pet that no one else has? The Madagascar Hissing Roach is an awesome pet. They are non invasive. This means if they manage to escape into your home, they can not live or breed. Either take a male and female or two females. Two males will fight for territory!
Adoption Fee: $20 for a pair
Handsome Man came in with Friday. He is an adult gopher snake with a similar bite first talk later personality. He does allow more handling than friday does although he will bite you most of the time. He is absoultely striking to look at and a great eater.
Adoption Fee: $ 50
Squillium is quite the angry boy! He has so much personality. He does NOT like to be lifted but he is happy to hang out with you. He is also extremely aggressive towards other animals, bearded or not and they stress him out. He wants to be your one and only. He requires a home that can accommodate his need for his own space but would love to be somewhere where he can watch his humans. He will eat you out of house and home so be prepared to make gourmet dinners for his fancy life style! We love his attitude and hope he can find a home that will appreciate him for his moody behavior. Squillium has been here for 2 years now!
Adoption Fee: $50
Krusteaz came to us with some severe shed build up. He has since resolved that and has had a great full shed! He is very sweet and a pretty laid back ball python considering he was not well handled. He would be a great beginner snake for an older child or adult looking for that snake experience. I would not suggest him for smaller children as he is rather large for a ball python and can look intimidating. When he is not hiding in his hut , he is busy hiding in his other hut. This guy will thrive on an enclosure that has a lot of snake activities to do and explore as long as it doesn’t involve climbing. He says climbing is overrated!
Adoption Fee: $50
Bitey Beans, Most of the names we choose are adorable or hilarious.....bitey beans is neither. This snake means business. We are hoping to calm down his bitey behavior but so far he chooses violence on a daily basis. We certainly don't blame him considering the deplorable conditions he was in. He does not seem to understand that we want to give him a new lease on life. If you're looking for a challenge, and some ninja classes, Bitey Beans is your guy
Adoption Fee: $75
Mitochondria is the power house of the cell. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
Adoption Fee: $50
Donnashello is probably the biggest slider you have ever met. Were assuming this is a female just based on size alone. She will eat fish like there’s no tomorrow. Some turtles I’ve seen live with some pretty big fish. This turtle is NOT IT. She is very sweet and has now figured out how to be social like the other turtles. She even asks nicely for food! Donna does have a very rough shell, considering she was left in a cardboard box for two days we’re not surprised however after a few good shed she should be . Donnashello is a one turtle kind of lady who will eat her friends no matter what species they are
Adoption Fee: $50
Spookley is a young assumed male king snake. He is gorgeous to look at however handling him is not the most fun as he enjoys musking on his humans. He came in with a pretty severe mite infestation that we are currently clearing up for him. He has not eaten for us yet however he has a great strike response so we are hoping he eats soon!
Adoption Fee: $50
Perry our little box turtle who came in with a severely overgrown beak. She has since then had it filed down and will continue to get regular trims until it is completely normal. Her nails were also massively over grown which caused her gait to be extremely incorrect and she became more of a swimming on her shell kind of turtle. She has so much attitude for such a little thing! We have been slowly trimming her back nails to try and correct her gait but it seems she has been like this for too long and will always walk kind of weird. Her beak, although she hates her trims, has healed enough that she is able to eat hard and soft items on her own!
Adoption Fee: $50
Tito is an incredibly social little boy who loves other turtles, large fish and humans. Nothing bothers this little guy! He would love a tank that has friends in it already for him to interact with as he is very very busy all day long. He has some more growing to do as well!
Adoption Fee: $50
Garden Gnome was one of the many that came in during the 18 snake surrender day. She was one of the most underweight ones in the group. Fortunately she has been steady in gaining weight and will continue to do so. She is very sweet and is very nosey to what you are doing! She would love a home she can people watch in and get a lot of socialization.
Adoption Fee: $50
Kiwi was found roaming a college campus in NC. He is extremely aggressive and does not bite gently. Kiwi is basically feral, we have pet him with a glove on but he does not appreciate it. Kiwi also has an obvious mouth deformity, but it does not effect him in his daily life.
Adoption Fee: $100
Zilla came from a home that was fantastic to him. He was provided with the correct lighting, food, substrate everything…except socialization. Unfortunately, zillas former owners were terrified of him and never handled him. We do often pick him up and he shows us how big his mouth is but he rather just sleep and eat all day!
Adoption Fee: $100
Daisy came in with a few other creatures due to moving circumstances. She has been well cared for and well socialized. She does enjoy hiding quite a lot but when out and about she is interested in her human friends. She can get a little fast with her movements so we do not suggest a home with young children at this time. She otherwise is pretty easy to handle and has not had any issues here at the rescue.
Adoption Fee: $50
Toblerone is a very well cared for 6 year old sulcata who came in an owner surrender. He is extremely social and would do great in literally any environment. He loves children, doesn’t mind dogs or cats and is over all a great tortoise. He is about the size of a grapefruit currently but expect him to be the size of a microwave when he is bigger…..really? a microwave…that’s what my husband thinks the size of a full grown sulcata is similar to.
Adoption Fee: $100
Jalapeno is not as spicy as his name would apply. He is a disco or fire morph but personally i think hes a spicy pepper morph since he always bites me instead of his food. He doesn’t mean it but he would be best in a home with some snake experience. When outside he is very friendly and easy to handle
Adoption Fee: $50
Rubix Cube is a female normal morph. She is just a hatchling and has so much growing to do. She is sweet but still terrified of the big scary world. She would be great for any home to learn and grow with
Adoption Fee: $50
Almond Joy…is a female DH albino/Anery. She is very active and quickly growing. Being a female she will get very very large and requires a home that can fit her needs, being an 8ft enclosure minimum and eventually eating much larger frozen meals like chicks or jumbo rats.
Adoption Fee: $75
Garlic Bread…is a male pastel with clown and dg? I don’t really follow these morphs especially when its a little bread noodle. Garlic bread is pretty. Hes always wanted at the center of the table at olive garden. Doesn’t everyone love garlic bread?
Adoption Fee: $50
Hydrolic Press Video…is a female normal with the sweetest temper ever. She would be perfect as a first time owner snake. She has no issues eating, exploring or coming out of the enclosure. She is the idea of perfect
Adoption Fee: $50
Banana Pudding…kind of looks like toasted banana bread right? But his name is banana Pudding..why? Apparently my husband loves banana things and already named a snake banana bread, so here is banana pudding! He is a pastel, mojave, enchi, het burnt toast het pudding cup het walnut pieces in the middle
Adoption Fee: $50
Neather Portal…I don’t know what it is either but if you have a child whos playing minecraft, chances are they know exactly what it is. He is a pastel morph with clown hets and is a massive escape artist. A front open tank/ enclosure will be required for this boy as he as no issues escaping most things with ease.
Adoption Fee: $50
Velvet Blacklight Poster…Poster is a pastel yellow belly and we think his pattern is one of the coolest we have seen. He is very symmetrical in most of his pattern however he has a..um…shape…on his head. We wont say what is it but you can tell in the picture what that looks like. We even thought of naming him Richard or even Johnson.
Adoption Fee: $50
Pizza Hut Salad Bar…Lets take you back to the 90s when pizza hut had an open salad bar, when neon colored wind breakers were the style, when bowl cuts were a thing. Here is your snake friend to remember all of those great things. She is a super pastel/orange ghost, maybe the ghost of the 90s?
Adoption Fee: $50
All You Can Eat Buffet…he lives up to his name! are you looking for a normal morph male who will eat literally anything you put in front of him? Look no further! Here he is, the perfect snake. This guy is just a hatchling and has a lot of growing to do!
Adoption Fee: $50
kronk…have you seen the movie the emperors new groove? Remember that character who lacked any brains but was all the brawn anyone ever needed? This snake takes that movie very personally and has adopted the entire personality of that character. This snake will make you laugh, make you cry, but mostly make you say….what are you doing?? He is adorable and strange. This is not a beginner snake
Adoption Fee: $50
Mango …is a gorgeous corn snake however she has the attitude of one as well. She is fast and moves 24/7. Are you looking for a calm snake to hang out with and chill? Shes not it. Are you looking for chaos like a 3 year old who was given 5 espressos? Then here she is!
Adoption Fee: $50
Swiffer Wet Jet…Notice how we don’t have a photo of this snake? That is because he is the king of escaping. He opened a sliding door enclosure, broke an exoterra door and has escaped the 40g he came in. Good thing is that he is an extremely docile snake and is terrible at hiding however he chooses the smallest places to hide. We currently know where he is too, but my arms arent 6ft long to grab him from the corner behind the tegu enclosures that he goes behind. Maybe next enclosure will be one inside another so it takes him longer than 8 seconds to leave. Cant you see he wants to go home with you?
Adoption Fee: $50
Kozy came in a tiny tree bark tube. It’s pretty much his security blanket…security tube? He really enjoys being in the smallest spot he can find and hiding. He is only a few months old but we don’t think he will ever get over his cozy ways. Do you have room for a tube that will require bigger but still cozy tubes in the future?
Adoption Fee: $50
Impasta is our….”rainbow boa surrender”…. He certainly looks like a red tail boa constrictor but he won’t tell you that. He swears that his obvious traditional patterning is just a disguise and his true rainbow colors are just a shed away. Who are we to tell him he’s not a rainbow boa? Impasta has been eating fantastically and is very social, maybe a little too excited when there is dinner around but otherwise he is nice. He is an escape artist so a secure enclosure is a must. Maybe he escapes to find his pot of gold at the end of his rainbow?
Adoption Fee: $75
